XKioo2

Description

XKioo2 is a software for x-ray reflectivity (reflectance) and x-ray transmission (transmittance) calculations. XKioo2 is a descendant of XKioo software, which is able to calculate only the x-ray reflectivity. XKioo2 provides an alternative to the online CXRO service providing a much more versatile and comfortable tool for your work. XKioo2 is able to calculate:

  • Reflectivity of x-ray mirrors based on total external reflection (free of charge).
  • Reflectivity of the multilayers, both periodic and aperiodic (paid version).
  • Transmission through solids and gases (paid version).

License

XKioo2 is the property of Elya Solutions s.r.o.. By downloading and running it you agree with the following simple conditions:
  1. A valid license has to be purchased from Elya Solutions s.r.o. and software has to be activated in order to make XKioo2 fully functional.
  2. XKioo2 without the activated license or with invalid license can be used for mirror reflectivity calculations free of charge.
  3. XKioo2 with the activated license can be used for calculations given by type of license ordered.
  4. Purchased XKioo2 license consists of a serial number and license key.
  5. License key is delivered to the customer once the payment is confirmed.
  6. In order to make the license valid, local copy of XKioo2 has to be activated using the serial number and license key. Activation can be done either directly online or via the e-mail.
  7. Activated license is valid for any future versions of XKioo2 in the functionality range valid at the date when it was ordered.
  8. Activated license allows anyone to use XKioo2 on the computer where it was activated. It is not permitted to use XKioo2 on any computer other than the one where it was originally activated.
  9. Activated license is bind to a combination of computer properties, like computer name, LAN interface address and few others. Elya Solutions s.r.o. stores only a “fingerprint” while activating, not the information itself. It is not possible to reconstruct original information from the fingerprint.
  10. Moving once activated XKioo2 to any other computer is allowed only with explicit permission of Elya Solutions s.r.o.. It has to be reactivated on the new computer.
  11. Data downloaded from the online database are owned by the database provider, you can use it only within XKioo2.
  12. No redistribution of XKioo2 is allowed.
  13. No modification of XKioo2 and any of its parts except these parts which are not the product of the Elya Solutions s.r.o. (libraries having their own licenses) is allowed.
  14. Elya Solutions s.r.o. is not responsible for validity and accuracy of the data provided by online databases of atomic scattering factors.
  15. Elya Solutions s.r.o. is not responsible for any damages which may be caused by using XKioo2 or XKioo2 results.

Installation

  1. Order the license of the XKioo2 software at the registration page. If you plan to use only a simple grazing incidence mirror reflectivity, no registration is needed.
  2. Download the XKioo2 package.
  3. Unzip the package.
  4. Continue according to the installation process described in the "doc/manual.pdf" file inside the package.
